1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the iPhone app “AimLog” (displayed as “目记” in Simplified Chinese, and referred to below as the “App”) and this support website. It explains how the developer of AimLog handles information related to the App.
2. Data stored on your device
To provide goal-tracking features, the App stores data you create or generate on your device, including:
- Goal names, units, starting values, current values, target values, and optional deadlines;
- Progress history, automatic reset settings, and goal order;
- Preferences such as theme, display mode, and calculation mode; and
- Your tree name, planting date, and related local state.
Your device operating system may handle app data according to your Apple backup settings. Such system backups are managed by Apple and your device settings and cannot be accessed or controlled by the developer.
3. App Store purchases
The App uses Apple’s StoreKit to offer a non-consumable Pro purchase. When you start or restore a purchase, StoreKit connects to the App Store on the App’s behalf, securely processes payment, and makes the product and transaction status needed to verify your purchase and unlock features available to the App.
The developer does not receive or store your card number, complete payment details, or Apple Account password. Apple processes payment and App Store account information under its own privacy policy. The App does not use a developer-operated server to validate transactions.
4. Technical support email
If you choose to email support, we receive the information you decide to provide, such as your email address, message, device and operating system version, app version, and any screenshots or diagnostic description you attach.
We use this information only to respond to requests, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, and improve the App. We do not sell support information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. Email is transmitted and stored by the email providers used by you and the developer, subject to those providers’ terms.
5. Tracking, advertising, analytics, and this website
- The App contains no advertising, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not track your activity across other companies’ apps or websites;
- The App includes no third-party analytics or behavioral measurement SDKs;
- This support website uses no cookies, analytics tools, advertising scripts, account login, or submission forms; and
- The website hosting provider, such as GitHub Pages, may process routine technical information to secure, operate, and deliver the site. The provider is responsible for that processing under its own policies.
6. Retention, deletion, and your choices
App data on your device
You can delete individual goals within the App. Deleting the App removes its local data. Copies may remain in device system backups depending on your backup settings and Apple’s retention mechanisms. Because the developer cannot access local data, the developer cannot view, export, or delete it for you.
Support email
We retain support communications only as long as needed to handle your request, maintain necessary records, and meet legal obligations. You may use the email below to request deletion of support communications you previously sent. If the law requires us to retain certain records, we will explain any applicable limitation.
7. Children’s privacy
The App does not require an account and does not actively collect in-app goal data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child provided personal information through a support email, please contact us to request deletion.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the App’s features or data practices change. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective or last-updated date at the top. Where appropriate, material changes will also be communicated in the App or by another reasonable method.
